Dear locals

Use the code MYISLAND when reserving your ticket.
At boarding, please be ready to show proof of residency (alco-card or declaration from the tax office). You may bring your gun to venture on shore by yourself should you desire.
A 3 day cruise on board Ylva
We love our local fjord. It hosts a lot of the experiences that make up Svalbard, and they are just a few hours sailing from Longyearbyen. Come with us and we will show you.
DAY 1
Check in is at 1 PM. After receiving you all on board, we head for one of the many exciting branches and bays of the largest fjord of Spitsbergen. There are a multitude of bays both west, north and east of Longyearbyen. Our plan for the tour will be shaped by the weather, and Isfjorden has protected bays where we can safely anchor in most weather conditions.
At our first anchorage, you will have a chance to explore the surroundings on an early evening walk, while the crew prepares dinner. Then it is time for dinner and social activities, in the saloon and on deck.
DAY 2
After a delicious breakfast the next morning, we set sail for a new destination. Here, we prepare for a longer hike, for those who would like to explore more on foot. Perhaps we set sail for Bjonahamna, to admire the beautiful bird mountains and geological formations. Or we might sail to Ekmanfjorden, where a surging glacier has left a red moraine mixed in with corals from an ancient reef.
During the day, the boat is available to fish from, or take a bath in the fjord, or to simply kick back and enjoy the tranquility of the arctic summer life from the deck or the wheel house. We have binoculars. And books.
In the evening, it is time for another great dinner. This time followed by what many consider the highlight of our trips; a bath in our wood fired hot tub on deck (as long as the weather allows).
DAY 3
After breakfast, and perhaps a short hike the next morning, we set sail for Longyearbyen again, rich with new memories and experiences. With luck, some of the whales and birds that inhabit Isfjorden will escort us back to port.
