Our familiar waters

Eira Expeditions offers unique trips and experiences north of the Arctic Circle. With bases in Tromsø on the Norwegian mainland, and in Longyearbyen on Svalbard, we welcome you to our home waters.

Our founder, Eivind Trondsen, is an experienced pilot, sailor and entrepreneur. He has lived and worked in Longyearbyen, Svalbard for nearly 20 years. With his team he strives to provide you with memories for life in the Arctic.

Respecting the locals

When we travel through fishing villages and arctic outposts, we aim to help you understand the communities, learn about the culture and pass through our world in a respectful way.

Leaving no trace

We take you through some of the most protected areas of the planet. This obliges guest, guides and crew to understand what the local wildlife and fauna requires of us as we visit their world.

In return, we will get to see places that are not accessible in any way except by sea, and our sails will blend into a pristine world of wonder.
