This early it can be hard to know what area wil l have the best conditions around Tromsø. Sometimes it is on Senja to the southwest\, sometimes going deep in the fjords close to Finnmark\, Lyngen or the islands just outside Tromsø. South\, east or north - when you are in a sailing ship the ride of your life is always within reach. Meet your guide Morten will be your ski guide on Ylva. He grew up in Senja and have spent more than 40 years exploring the mountains of this island. He is al so very familiar with the mountains in Lyngen and the northern part of Tro ms county. His local knowledge\, extensive experience with snow and avalan ches\, as well as his ability to convey nature’s diversity\, will make y our skiing experience unforgettable! Morten is a former officer in the Nor wegian army with special knowledge within winter training and avalanche co urses. Morten is a NORDTIND certified ski guide\, and also works for the N orwegian water resource and energy directorate (NVE) as an avalanche obser ver for the national avalanche forecast.
